2001
Founded
Dan McPhee and Chad Tolkien open Soda Digital. First Porter’s Paints website launched same year.
2003
First in Microsoft .NET
Soda Digital was one of the first adopters of the .NET framework, developing inventory and warehousing system in the new technology. Projects completed for Sony Music, Cricket Australia and Federal Parliament of Australia.
2005
Technology Consultancy
Soda Digital partners with other technology companies to provide technical and design consultancy on projects for Mercedes Benz and Colorbond.
2007
E-commerce Solutions
Soda Digital takes No Birds Car Rental in a new direction with custom online booking solution. The same year it completes a workflow automation project for the Bendon Group.
2009
Agency Partnerships
Partner with marketing agencies to complete web and digital marketing campaign assets for Hyundai, Macquarie Group and Open Colleges.
2010
Early to Mobile
Soda Digital extends No Birds online booking system and relaunches leading real estate directory Villages.com.au with mobile-friendly websites.
2011
First International Client
Begin first of many projects with international investment group launching online marketplace for luxury accommodation and holiday packages in Africa.
2012
Starlight Foundation
Privileged to work as technical partner on Starlight Foundation's $1-million Christmas campaign.
2013
National In-store Roll Out
Develop TV selector app for Samsung Australia with roll out across JB Hi-Fi nationally. Launch E-commerce store for Porter's Paints on Shopify platform.
2014
Cloud-based Apps
TAB MyAgency App launched, leveraging Microsoft Azure cloud and supporting over 100 franchises across NSW.
2015
International Technical Consulting
Manage technical implementation of custom framework for Samsung TV/AV division website with deployment across South Korea and Singapore.
2017
Earning our Stripes
Soda Digital becomes an incorporated company and continues growing its capability. Consulting services are expanded with DevOps, IoT and Azure Cloud. Dedicated Project Management and Business Analysis functions are added.
2019
Workplace Automation
Soda Digital delivers six workplace automation solutions including Jennchem’s mining support operations, No Birds digital ecosystem and an experimental app for Suncorp.
2020
A Challenging Year
Despite a tougher business environment, Soda Digital sticks together as a team and retains all its multi-disciplinary capabilities. The business navigated the year successfully and even grew in the last quarter.
2021
A Busy Year Ahead
TV Hub media buying platform, Boomday social media platform and Bank of South Pacific international web app environment launched in the first three months of the year.
Present Day
Soda Digital continues to investigate and trial emerging technologies including Azure AI and machine learning.
